The Holy Child College Old Girls Association, comprising graduates from the years 1979 to 1984, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary by giving back to their alma mater.

Under the theme “Back to School – Donation,” the association’s president, Mrs. Helen Irumudomon, announced the donation of a 75-inch Smart Screen for the school hall.

In addition, bags of rice were distributed to staff members, and a cash donation of N500,000 was made to the Society of the Holy Child Jesus (SHCJ).

The event, filled with joyous festivities, brought together old classmates and rekindled the institution’s academic spirit.

A highlight of the occasion was a series of photo opportunities, allowing the former students to reconnect with each other, as well as with staff and current students.

Irumudomon expressed the significance of the 40-year milestone, stating, “It is essential for us to come together at this time to give back to an institution that laid the foundation for our academic journeys and life successes.”

She added, “I don’t think there is anyone who has passed through this school that has ever regretted it. We are proud that our cohort has not forgotten our roots, and we will continue to contribute to the institution that nurtured us.”

The president, visibly delighted, emphasized that no gesture is too grand for their old school and urged other alumni to remember their alma mater.

“We encourage our juniors and seniors who have passed through here to also contribute so that the school and its graduates will continue to set a good example,” she said.
