A woman and her 10-year-old son have been found dead by police at their home in Leeds in what is feared to be a murder-suicide.
Police officers were called to a house in Holbeck, West Yorkshire at 9pm on Thursday, September 15, after hearing concerns from neighbours.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police found a 30-year-old woman and her son dead in a flat. Formal identification is yet to take place.
West Yorkshire Police are continuing their investigation and a scene remains in place at the scene on Cross Ingram Road. They are looking into the full circumstances of their deaths but were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: ‘At about 9pm last night, officers were attending an address in Cross Ingram Road, Holbeck, Leeds, following concerns being raised about the welfare of the occupants.
‘A woman and a child were found dead inside the flat. Although formal identification has not yet been completed, they are believed to be a 30-year-old woman and her 10-year-old son, who both lived at the address.
‘While enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of their deaths, officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. A scene remains in place at the address.’
